If you choose to submit an SAT or ACT score, please indicate that on your application. What factors do you consider when making admission decisions?

麻豆传媒 considers several factors in reviewing an admissions application. Most important being the student鈥檚 academic performance in high school, particularly the student鈥檚 high school GPA and the rigor of the courses taken. Other factors include: strong letters of recommendation from teachers and/or counselors; a thoughtful admissions essay; and a record of extracurricular activities (for example: community service, leadership in student organizations and athletics, performance and artistic activities, and part-time employment). AP, IB, and Honors courses are also looked upon favorably.

Are interviews required?

Interviews are聽not required, but are recommended if you want an opportunity to tell us more about yourself and why you would make a great Roadrunner. You may schedule an Admissions Interview directly with your聽Admissions Counselor聽and we will be happy to meet with you.

You accept the Ramapo Application and Common Application鈥攊s there a preference?

No, there is no preference which application the student submits.

What is the difference between Early Decision and Early Action?

The main difference is that while Early Decision (ED) is a binding agreement, Early Action (EA) is not. Students can only submit one ED application to one school. Additionally, students who apply to the ED program and are admitted must submit an enrollment deposit to that college or university several weeks after they receive their offer of admission. Students who are admitted through the EA program have until May 1 to submit an enrollment deposit.

Do you accept applications after the deadline?

Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis throughout the school year. However, in order to allow sufficient time for your application to be reviewed, it is strongly encouraged that students complete their application submission by the recommended deadlines. Applications received after these dates will be reviewed based on seat availability.

Do you offer merit-based scholarships?

First-year applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships based on academic performance and their potential to become active members of our community. You must apply before December 15th each cycle to be automatically considered for a merit based scholarship. All aspects of a student鈥檚 application are considered including extra-curricular activities, but limited funding and a large number of applications makes our scholarship awards highly competitive. A recommended GPA of 3.5 or higher is encouraged to be eligible for consideration, along with a rigorous HS course schedule.
