Requirements for the ABSN 16-Month Track

The 16-month program is designed to be completed in four full-time in-person consecutive semesters starting in the summer.

To be considered for admission to Ramapo’s ABSN 16-month nursing program:

• Hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree or have a minimum of 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Current and former Â鶹´«Ã½ students who have not completed a non-Nursing bachelor’s or associate’s degree at Â鶹´«Ã½ or another institution are not eligible for the Accelerated BSN program at this time.
• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in all undergraduate coursework.
• Score “Proficient” on the ATI TEAS exam.
• Completed the following prerequisite coursework with a first time grade of C+ or higher.
  • Anatomy and Physiology I with lecture and lab
  • Anatomy and Physiology II with lecture and lab
  • Microbiology with lecture and lab
  • General Chemistry I and II lecture and lab, Organic Chemistry lecture and lab, or Principles of Chemistry lecture and lab
  • Statistics
  • Introduction to Psychology or Developmental Psychology
• We do not accept any repeated science courses.
• All prerequisite science courses must have been completed within the last 5 years.
• Only in-person lectures and in person labs are accepted.

Requirements for the “Bridge to ABSN” 24-Month Track

This program is for prospective students who meet the admissions requirements, but have not completed all of the prerequisite courses.

Prerequisites must be completed between Summer/Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 for eligibility to start the 16-month ABSN program in Summer 2027.

To be considered for admission to Ramapo’s “Bridge to ABSN” 24-month nursing program:

• Must hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree OR have a minimum of 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Current and former Â鶹´«Ã½ students who have not completed a non-Nursing Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree at either Â鶹´«Ã½ or elsewhere are not eligible for the Accelerated BSN Program at this time.
• Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA in all undergraduate coursework.

Applicants in this program must complete the following prerequisite courses with a first time grade of a C+ or higher at Â鶹´«Ã½ before entering the accelerated program the following summer:

• • Anatomy and Physiology I with lecture and lab
  • Anatomy and Physiology II with lecture and lab
  • Microbiology with lecture and lab
  • General Chemistry I and II lecture and lab or Organic Chemistry lecture and lab, or Principles of Chemistry lecture and lab
  • Statistics
  • Introduction to Psychology or Developmental Psychology
