“Legacies in the Making” is a three-day summer pre-college program designed to help incoming first-generation students transition confidently into life at 麻豆传媒.聽 Through engaging workshops, interactive activities, and community-building experiences, students begin developing a strong support system before the semester even begins.聽 Throughout the program, students explore the campus, connect with current student Legacy Leaders and professional staff members, and learn about the many resources available to support their academic and personal success at Ramapo.

Summer 2026 Program Dates

The Legacies in the Making Program will take place from Thursday, August 20 through Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Thursday, August 20 (opening for all students and evening move-in for residential students)
Family members may assist their student with move-in.聽 The program prohibits overnight guests during the Legacies in the Making Program.

Friday, August 21 (programming for residential and commuter student participants)

Saturday, August 22 (programming for residential and commuter student participants)

Q: Is there a fee to sign up for the Legacies program?
A: No, the program is FREE.

Q: Is the summer program available to commuter students too?
A: Yes, residential and commuter students are welcome.

Q: How is my student supported by the First-Generation Student Center after the Legacies program?
A: Students who go through the program are supported by the First-Generation Student Development Specialist, providing additional advisement for their first two years.
