Federal student aid regulations require that Federal Title IV funds are used for authorized allowable educationally-related charges such as tuition, mandatory fees, room and board (if living on campus) and up to $200 of prior-year institutional charges.<\/p>\n

Allowable charges that can be paid by Title IV aid include tuition, mandatory fees, room and board.\u00a0 Charges that are non-allowable<\/em><\/strong> but can be<\/em><\/strong> paid by Title IV money with authorization<\/em><\/strong> include but are not limited to fees such as health insurance, parking, bookstore vouchers, miscellaneous fees, etc. Non-allowable charges that can never<\/em><\/strong> be paid by Title IV aid, even with authorization <\/strong>include late fees, certain fines and penalties, and payment plan fees.<\/p>\n

If you do not authorize<\/strong> the use of Federal funds to pay non-allowable, educationally-related charges, you will be responsible to pay for the balance; failure to pay the balance may result in a $200 late fee and\/or a financial hold preventing future registration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
