  1. Select\u00a0the\u00a0Network<\/b>,\u00a0Sound<\/b>, or\u00a0Battery\u00a0<\/b>icons on the far right side of the taskbar to open quick settings. The Disconnected\u00a0<\/b>icon appears when you\u2019re not connected.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. On the Wi-Fi\u00a0quick setting, select\u00a0Manage Wi-Fi connections\u00a0 <\/b>(‘>’ sign next to the Wi-Fi sign).<\/li>\n
  3. From the list of available Wireless networks, select Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  4. When prompted for authentication, enter your Ramapo username and password.<\/li>\n
  5. A warning message will appear, click Connect<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  6. You should now be connected to Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

    1. From your desktop, open the Start Menu<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    2. Once you have the Start Menu opened, click on the Gear icon<\/strong> just above the power button<\/li>\n
    3. When the Settings Bar appears, select the Internet Access Icon <\/b>or Available Icon<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    4. When the Start Menu appears, click Wi-Fi<\/b> on the left sidebar, then click on\u00a0Show available networks<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    5. From the list of available Wireless networks, select Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    6. When prompted for authentication, enter your Ramapo username and password.<\/li>\n
    7. A warning message will appear, click Connect<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    8. You should now be connected to Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
      <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Windows 8<\/div>

      1. From the Start screen, open the Charms Bar<\/b> using your finger by swiping in from the right side of the screen. If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen and move the mouse pointer down.<\/li>\n
      2. When the Charms Bar appears, select Settings<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      3. When the Settings Bar appears, select the Internet Access Icon<\/b>\u00a0or Available Icon<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      4. From the list of available Wireless networks, select Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      5. When prompted for authentication, enter your Ramapo username and password.<\/li>\n

        3. When prompted for authentication, enter your Ramapo username and password.<\/li>\n
        4. A certificate warning message will appear, click Connect<\/b>.<\/li>\n
        5. You should now be connected to Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

          1. Select the Wireless Icon<\/b> from the menu located in the top right corner.<\/li>\n
          2. From the list of available Wireless networks, select Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n
          3. When prompted for authentication, enter your Ramapo username and password.<\/li>\n
          4. A warning message will appear, click Continue<\/b>.<\/li>\n
          5. You should now be connected to Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
            <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Google Chrome OS<\/div>

            1. From the list of available Wireless networks, select Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n
            2. Modify the following settings:\n
                \n
              • EAP Method: PEAP<\/b><\/li>\n
              • EAP Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2**<\/b><\/li>\n
              • Server CA Certificate: Do not check**<\/b><\/li>\n
              • Identity: Your Ramapo Username<\/b><\/li>\n
              • Password: Your Ramapo Password<\/b><\/li>\n
              • Click the Save identity and password<\/b> box then click Connect<\/b>*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                * = If you continue to have issues connecting by getting an error such as “Error Configuring Network” or “Authentication certificate rejected locally” then try the following fixes below and then repeat step 2 above:<\/p>\n

                a.\u00a0 Ensure you are using the latest Google Chrome OS version available.
                \nb.\u00a0 Ensure the date\/time is set correctly on your device.\u00a0 If not set correctly, you will need to reboot your device after fixing it.<\/p>\n

                            • After a successful connection, you will be prompted to save the Wi-Fi profile, click Yes<\/b>.<\/li>\n
                            • You should now be connected to Ramapo-Secure<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
