The February 9 meeting marked the addition of next-generation perspective to governance and a change in Board leadership.
MAHWAH, N.J. β ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ of New Jersey announced today that two alumni, Stephan Lally β20 and Brady OβConnor β16, have been sworn in as the newest members of the Collegeβs Board of Trustees (BOT).Β
The appointments reflect Ramapoβs commitment to inclusive governance and next-generation leadership. Lally and OβConnor bring recent, firsthand student perspective to the Collegeβs governing body at a time when institutions nationwide are examining how board decisions reflect the experiences and priorities of todayβs students.
βTrustees Lally and OβConnor bring fresh perspective, insight, and enthusiasm to our Board,β said Albert Nieves, Chair of the Board of Trustees. βAs alumni with leadership experience and deep commitment to Ramapoβs mission, I have every confidence that their service and contributions will strengthen the Boardβs oversight and advance the Collegeβs strategic priorities.β
Both trustees have strong ties to the Ramapo community and share a mutual excitement and passion for giving back to the College. βIt feels like a full-circle moment,β said Lally, noting that the leadership principles and academic foundation gained as a student continue to shape his professional life. βIβm grateful for the opportunity to give back and help future students have the same impactful experience I did,β he added.
