Records Disposal- State Approval Required<\/h3>\n

As per the Destruction of Public Records Act of 1953 (P.L. 1953, c. 410), public agencies must<\/strong> receive prior written authorization to dispose of their public records regardless of the medium in which the information is maintained.\u00a0 As such the Â鶹´«Ã½ must obtain prior approval from the State of New Jersey prior to the destruction of records<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0Request to dispose of information must be electronically submitted via the Artemis System<\/p>\n

All government agencies must use\u00a0Artemis <\/span>system <\/span>to file records disposition requests.<\/h3>\n

Q: How do I obtain Access to Artemis System to request record disposal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Contact the Custodian of Records to obtain authorization to access the system.\u00a0 <\/em>Please email Patricia Chavez at\u00a0pchavez@Ramapo.edu<\/a>\u00a0 to obtain login access.\u00a0 You will be trained on how to use the system.<\/em><\/p>\n
