The Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) Bootcamp

Students who complete the Â鶹´«Ã½ IGG Certificate Program may apply for the opportunity to expand and practice their skills at a week-long summer IGG Bootcamp offered on the campus at Â鶹´«Ã½. The Bootcamp experience facilitates bonding between IGG teammates, provides dynamic learning opportunities as roadblocks are encountered in cases, and allows for intensive and focused work on casework unlike any other IGG workspace. Bootcamp attendees come away with significant skill growth and a strong network solidified by the unique intensity of the Bootcamp experience.

Bootcamp is held in our Investigative Genetic Genealogy Lab, where casework can be performed in a secure space for IGG teamwork and communication. Bootcamp dates are typically adjacent to our summer conference.

Students at previous IGG Bootcamps have generated investigative leads in cases of wrongful conviction as well as unidentified human remains cases.
