Students enrolled in one of the DMC 4+1 programs (MSDS, MSCS, or MSAM) should plan to take three graduate courses during their senior year. These courses are taken exclusively in your final or second-to-last semester as an undergraduate and count toward both your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.<\/p>\n

Registration Information<\/h3>\n

Registration opens October 27, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Important:<\/strong> You must email Prof. Scott Frees at sfrees@ramapo.edu<\/a> for an override prior to registering for any graduate courses.<\/p>\n

MS in Data Science (MSDS)<\/h4>\n

Senior year students will take the following three graduate courses:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. DATA 620 – Ethics in Data & Computing (Spring 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. DATA 601 – Introduction to Data Science (Fall)<\/li>\n
  3. CMPS 530 – Python for Data Science (Fall)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    MS in Computer Science (MSCS)<\/h4>\n

    Senior year students will take the following three graduate courses:<\/p>\n

    • CMPS 531 – Data Structures & Algorithms (Spring 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • DATA 620 – Ethics in Data & Computing (Spring 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Category 1 elective (Fall)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      MS in Applied Mathematics (MSAM)<\/h4>\n

      Senior year students will take the following three graduate courses:<\/p>\n

      • \nDATA 620 – Ethics in Data & Computing (Spring 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • DATA 590 – Data Storytelling (Spring 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • MATH 680 – Advanced Mathematical Modeling (Fall)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Additional Information<\/h4>\n

        MATH 570 – Applied Statistics is offered in Summer 2026. Summer courses are recommended to be taken after you graduate with your Bachelor’s degree to avoid additional undergraduate tuition charges.<\/p>\n
