Students interested in enrolling in the MSAN program via the 4+1 track should contact their advisor, and the MSAM Program Director, Dr. Amanda Beecher.<\/p>\n<p>Students completing Bachelor&#8217;s degrees in other disciplines may also contact the Program Director for assistance in designing a 5-year plan for their specific situation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Prerequisite of the Program <\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>The prerequisites of the Master of Science in Applied Mathematics program are built into the undergraduate major-required and elective courses to ensure students are well-prepared for the graduate program. These include courses in programming, statistics, and linear algebra.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2024-2025\/tas\/compscience\/\">Computer Science<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2024-2025\/Data-Science\/\">Data Science<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2024-2025\/tas\/mathematics\/\">Mathematics<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>4th-Year Coursework<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p>In addition to the courses required by the undergraduate program, students will begin their graduate courses in their 4th year. The policy for Undergraduate Students Taking Graduate-Level Courses Policy is found at:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/undergraduate-students-taking-graduate-courses\/\">https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/provost\/policy\/undergraduate-students-taking-graduate-courses\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thus, students are limited to 3 graduate courses double-counting towards both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.
