There are four tracks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adult\/Gerontology<\/li>\n<li>Nursing Education<\/li>\n<li>Nursing Administration<\/li>\n<li>Family Nurse Practitioner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ln addition, a post-Master&#8217;s program is offered, designed for those nurses holding a Master&#8217;s degree in nursing who are interested in pursuing nursing education.<\/p>\n<p>The Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) 3390 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326.<\/p>\n<p>Criteria for admission to the degree program include graduation from an approved nursing Bachelor&#8217;s degree program or completion of the Transition Program for applicants with non-nursing baccalaureate degrees, an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale) for all nursing courses and full-time experience as a practicing registered professional nurse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Outcomes for the Nursing Education Program<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<p><strong>Outcome 1: Knowledge<\/strong> &#8211; Draws on extant literature and knowledge to design and implement evidence based teaching\/learning and evaluation practices to support global nursing education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outcome 2: Evidence Based Research and Practice\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Contributes to the development of the science of nursing education through the critique, utilization, dissemination of current evidence and the conduct of research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outcome 3: Information Management<\/strong> \u2013 Develop and use information and communication technologies to enter, retrieve, and evaluate data appropriate for the delivery and evaluation of nursing education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outcome 4: Professionalism\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Models professional behavior for learners and fellow faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Engage in life long learning activities, dissemination of information through scholarship and advocacy.<\/li>\n<li>Develops networks, collaborations and partnerships to enhance nursing\u2019s influence within the academic community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Outcome 5: Social Advocacy <\/strong>\u2013 Utilize knowledge about the educational environment within they which they the parent institution as well as in the nursing program to enhance visibility of nursing and its contribution to the global academic community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outcome 7: Role
