Âé¶¹´«Ã½ of New Jersey offers courses leading to a Master of Science in Nursing. There are four tracks:<\/p>\n
ln addition, a post-Master’s program is offered, designed for those nurses holding a Master’s degree in nursing who are interested in pursuing nursing education.<\/p>\n
The Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) 3390 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326.<\/p>\n
Criteria for admission to the degree program include graduation from an approved nursing Bachelor’s degree program or completion of the Transition Program for applicants with non-nursing baccalaureate degrees, an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale) for all nursing courses and full-time experience as a practicing registered professional nurse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
Outcome 1: Knowledge<\/strong> – Draws on extant literature and knowledge to design and implement evidence based teaching\/learning and evaluation practices to support global nursing education.<\/p>\n Outcome 2: Evidence Based Research and Practice\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Contributes to the development of the science of nursing education through the critique, utilization, dissemination of current evidence and the conduct of research.<\/p>\n Outcome 3: Information Management<\/strong> \u2013 Develop and use information and communication technologies to enter, retrieve, and evaluate data appropriate for the delivery and evaluation of nursing education.<\/p>\n Outcome 4: Professionalism\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 5: Social Advocacy <\/strong>\u2013 Utilize knowledge about the educational environment within they which they practice and recognize how the political, institutional, social and economic forces impact the global educator role.<\/p>\n Outcome 6: Leadership\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Provides leadership in the parent institution as well as in the nursing program to enhance visibility of nursing and its contribution to the global academic community.<\/p>\n Outcome 7: Role Function\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Participates in interdisciplinary efforts to address health care needs locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Outcome 1: Knowledge<\/strong> –<\/p>\n Outcome 2: Evidence Based Research and Practice\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Integrate principles of evidence based practice and current research in the design and implementation of nursing and health care delivery programs.<\/p>\n Outcome 3: Information Management<\/strong> \u2013 Advocate for and use information and communication technologies to enter, retrieve, and evaluate data appropriate for the delivery and evaluation of nursing care delivery.<\/p>\n Outcome 4: Professionalism\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 5: Social Advocacy <\/strong>\u2013 Influence the health policy making process through the involvement and leadership of nurses having diverse perspectives.<\/p>\n Outcome 6: Leadership\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Lead in a manner that recognizes the cultural and spiritual context of the health care community and environment.<\/p>\n Outcome 7: Role Function\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Integrate advanced core competencies and clinical expertise to evaluate and continually improve nursing care delivery systems.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Outcome 1: Knowledge<\/strong> –<\/p>\n Outcome 2: Evidence Based Research and Practice\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 3: Information Management<\/strong> \u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 4: Professionalism\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 5: Social Advocacy <\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n Outcome 6: Leadership\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Assumes leadership to foster collaboration with multiple stakeholders\u00a0 (patients, community and interprofessional groups) to facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of care provided in complex systems.<\/p>\n Outcome 7: Role Function\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n There is a Post-Master’s Program designed for those nurses holding a Master’s Degree in Nursing and who are interested in pursuing Nursing Education.<\/p>\n\n
